Esc cancels any specific mode and switches on ‘Select mode’. It also cancels in-process editing operations.
Left pans the visible area to the left.
Right pans the visible area to the right.
Up pans up the visible area.
Down pans down the visible area.
. (period) repeats the last action done. If there were no action done, it emits a message about this to the log. If an invalid action is requested, it issues a warning which also goes to the log.
