3.1 Introduction

Currently, there are two types of configuration files:

  1. Traditionally, Lepton EDA and gEDA settings were stored as Scheme source code files, and some of them are still in use: gafrc and gschemrc (see Legacy configuration settings). The work is underway to convert them to the new configuration system.
  2. New settings are stored in *.conf ini-like text files and can be accessed using the lepton-cli config command.

Important:

Starting with Lepton EDA release 1.9.10:

Note: Later in this document, recently added options and groups of options may be marked with “Since release.”, designating their introduction in the specified Lepton EDA release, for example: “Since 1.9.10.” means the changes are available since Lepton EDA 1.9.10.
